Tom Hom, chairman of the Tom Hom Group is a native San Diegan. He was elected to the San Diego City Council in 1962, served as deputy mayor, and later won a seat in the California State Assembly.
Hom was among a core group of people with the vision, energy, optimism and drive to turn San Diego's once tired downtown into the bustling, active center it is today. Newbern has over 25 years of experience in real estate development, property management and sales.
